Two killed in encounters: CCD

Two suspects, including one already in police custody, were killed in alleged encounters by the Crime Control Department (CCD).
In both incidents, the gunmen blamed for the fatalities managed to flee without being apprehended.
One incident took place in the Sanda area of Iqbal Town. According to police sources, the deceased suspect was identified as Ashraf, who was wanted in.cases of robbery and banditry.
The police sources claimed that the man had fled from custody a few days ago with the help of his accomplices. A police team was dispatched to raid his hideout to arrest him. During the raid, Ashraf's accomplices allegedly opened fire on the police.
The police claimed that Ashraf was killed in the "crossfire," while an official was injured. The attackers were able to flee after the shootout and the police failed to capture them.
The second incident occurred in Nishter Colony.
Personnel from the Model Town CCD were reportedly taking a suspect named Rashid, who had been wanted for robbery and banditry, for a "recovery" operation.
The police stated that Rashid's accomplices ambushed the team in an attempt to free him.
