A special Anti-Narcotics Court in Rawalpindi has acquitted university student Hamza Sajid Abbasi in a case involving alleged possession of 2,400 grams of narcotics, declaring the case false and ordering his release with honour.
According to Supreme Court lawyer M Asad Khan Raja, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Rawalpindi had stopped Abbasi while he was on his way to university one morning, forcibly took his backpack, and searched it.
When nothing was found, the student allegedly exchanged harsh words with the officials for delaying him, upon which he was arrested.
