Nine injured as van overturns

At least nine people were injured on Thursday morning when a speeding passenger van overturned near Chakri Road in Rawalpindi.

The accident occurred when the driver, reportedly speeding, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip over and injure all passengers on board.

Eyewitnesses said the van was moving at a dangerously high speed when it suddenly swerved and overturned, leaving commuters trapped. Emergency responders reached the site shortly after the incident.

Four of the injured passengers received first aid on the spot, while five others, some in critical condition, were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital sources confirmed that the injured include both men and women, with two victims placed under intensive care.
