Azeri flight makes emergency landing
A foreign airline flight from Azerbaijan to India made an emergency landing at Karachi airport on Tuesday night after developing a technical fault midair.
According to sources, the Silk Way Airlines flight was en route from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Chennai, India, when it experienced a malfunction while flying thousands of feet above the Arabian Sea. The cockpit crew informed Karachi Air Traffic Control of the situation and, upon receiving clearance, landed the aircraft safely at Karachi airport.
Sources said the technical fault could not be rectified, and the aircraft remains grounded at Karachi airport.
