CM aide blames Centre for terror toll

Advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr Saif, has urged the federal government to review its counter-terrorism policy, warning that flawed strategies are costing innocent lives in the province.

Speaking to reporters, Dr Saif said that due to federal government's missteps, funerals have become a grim routine in K-P, where civilians, including women and children, are frequently targeted in acts of terror. He termed the federal government's indifference toward this critical issue "regrettable and condemnable."

The provincial advisor stressed that dialogue with Afghanistan is essential for sustainable peace and the elimination of terrorism. "The federal government neither engages Afghanistan in talks nor allows the K-P government to do so," he remarked.

Highlighting the efforts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, he said tribal Jirgas had been convened at the CM House as part of broader peace initiatives.
