Gold prices hold at record highs in global, local markets

International bullion trades steady at $3,770 per ounce

Gold prices remained unchanged at record levels on Wendesday in both international and domestic markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, international bullion traded steady at $3,770 per ounce, holding its historic peak.

In the local market, 24-carat gold stayed firm at Rs398,800 per tola, while the price for 10 grams remained at Rs341,901, also at an all-time high.

Traders said the market showed no movement as global and domestic demand held steady, keeping prices at historic highs for a second consecutive session.

Spot gold was steady at $3,762.73 per ounce, as of 1103 GMT, after hitting a record high of $3,790.82 on Tuesday.

Spot silver fell 0.3% to $44.89 per ounce. Platinum fell 0.7% to $1,467.39 and palladium lost 0.1% to $1,218.61.
