Speculation over The Elder Scrolls VI has resurfaced following claims from a well-known leaker suggesting that Bethesda and Microsoft are considering a 2027 release.

The game, which was first teased with a short trailer in 2018, has seen little official information released in the years since.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard recently acknowledged the project during the livestream reveal of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, but offered no concrete details about progress or a launch window.

According to ComicBook’s Tyler Fischer, leaker eXtas1s claimed in a recent video that sources indicate The Elder Scrolls VI may arrive in 2027.

However, the leaker’s track record has been inconsistent, with some predictions proving accurate and others, such as a claimed reveal for Hollow Knight: Silksong, not materialising.

Bethesda has historically announced major titles close to release. Fallout 4 was revealed just months before launch, and the upcoming Oblivion Remastered followed a similar pattern.

This approach has led some fans to doubt the likelihood of any early confirmation for The Elder Scrolls VI.

Despite the uncertainty, the lack of updates continues to fuel speculation. With over seven years having passed since the original teaser, many fans express frustration at the ongoing silence. Some suggest that even a single screenshot would reassure the community that development is moving forward.
