Autopsy confirms rape, murder of seven-year-old in Landhi

Samples from various organs have been collected and sent for chemical analysis to aid the investigation

Evidence of sexual assault has been confirmed in the case of a seven-year-old boy, who was abducted and brutally murdered in Landhi. According to the police surgeon, the victim died as a result of a head injury caused by a heavy object.

The postmortem of the victim was conducted by the police surgeon, Dr Samia Tariq, who confirmed that signs of sexual assault were found during the examination. She further stated that the fatal blow to the head was likely inflicted by a heavy object. Samples from various organs have been collected and sent for chemical analysis to aid the investigation.

The victim, a resident of Lal Mazar in Landhi 36-B, went missing on the evening of Sept 18 while playing outside his home. A case of kidnapping was registered at the Landhi police station. Despite this, the child's whereabouts remained unknown for five days, until his partially decomposed body was recovered from a garbage dump near his home on Monday night.

The grisly recovery sparked outrage among the local residents.
