Kick streamer Kelton_g has been banned from the platform after a viral video showed him shoving an elderly Japanese man on a subway train.

The footage, which spread rapidly across X and Reddit, sparked outrage among viewers who demanded his deportation from Japan.

The incident began when Kelton was filmed sitting in a priority seat, leading to a confrontation with the man. Clips showed Kelton forcefully pushing the man into another seat before resuming his place. The video drew millions of views and reignited debate over foreign streamers’ behavior in Japan.

Responding to the backlash, Kelton shared a longer version of the altercation on Instagram, claiming he acted only in self-defense. “I promise that it was with the purpose of defending myself against the constant intimidation that was against me,” he said. The streamer alleged the man attempted to hit him multiple times before he retaliated.

In the extended clip, the man is seen making physical contact with Kelton, including touching his face. Kelton admitted his response “was not the most correct” but insisted his push was defensive, not aggressive.

He further posted a photo with Japanese police, stating that authorities “understood it was the other person who started the confrontation.” Despite this, his account remains suspended on Kick, and the duration of his ban has not been confirmed.

The controversy adds to growing tensions in Japan over disruptive behavior by foreign streamers. Similar cases, including arrests and public backlash, have fueled calls for stricter rules against content creators filming in public spaces.
