IHC irked by plea for adjournment

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday expressed annoyance with a lawyer for seeking one more adjournment in a case against SECP for registration of a company.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, while hearing the case, remarked that it was regrettable when lawyers repeatedly sought adjournments, saying he could not understand why neither lawyers nor judges seemed willing to work.

The court accepted the petitioner's lawyer's request for an adjournment.

Separately, the IHC instructed the petitioner's lawyer to approach the relevant forum of civil court in his case against the decision of Federal Board of Revenue.
