PESHAWAR:

A local court in Peshawar has ordered the release of an accused on bail in a sedition case. The bail plea of the accused, Obaidullah, was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Asif Jadoon.

Representing the accused, advocates Tariq Afghan, Sangeen Khan, Fazal Wahid, and Farman Ali appeared before the court. According to the prosecution, Obaidullah was charged with sedition, inciting the public, advocating for the creation of new provinces, removing Kashmir from Pakistan's map, and possessing the flag of "Pakhtunistan." Police had registered a case and arrested him on these charges.

The defense counsel argued that the allegations were baseless and unsupported by evidence in the police record.
