Blake Lively has remembered her late Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg by sharing a previously unseen photograph to mark the teen drama’s 18th anniversary.
Lively uploaded a collection of 20 images from her years playing Serena van der Woodsen on the CW series, which ran for six seasons and 121 episodes.
Among them was a shot of herself with Trachtenberg, who portrayed Georgina Sparks in 28 episodes. In the photo, Trachtenberg wore a black shirt with a necklace while Lively appeared in a maroon top, both with their hair down as they posed on set.
Trachtenberg, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 39 due to complications from diabetes mellitus, was remembered by Lively for her energy, loyalty, and courage.
Trachtenberg’s passing was confirmed in April by New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner, which listed the cause of death as natural. Her family had initially requested that autopsy details remain private for religious reasons.
As fans reflected on the milestone anniversary, Lively’s tribute served as both a celebration of the show’s legacy and a heartfelt remembrance of her late friend.
