Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have begun planning their wedding, weeks after announcing their engagement. The couple, who went public with their relationship in September 2023, confirmed the news last month with photos of Kelce’s proposal shared on Instagram.
According to Us Weekly, the planning is still in the early stages, with no confirmed date or venue. A source stated that Swift is “having so much fun researching venues and locations” and is in the “ideation phase.” The couple is reportedly aiming for a ceremony early next year.
One of the most discussed aspects has been Swift’s bridal look. The singer has already received offers from top designers to create her gown, leaving her “blown away and overwhelmed,” though no final decision has been made.
The wedding is expected to be a private affair focused on family and close friends rather than a large Hollywood spectacle.
An insider told Us Weekly, “It will be private with friends and family, not a ton of celebrities or random people. It will be meaningful, and they will be surrounded by people who are special to them.”
Kelce confirmed that preparations are underway during an episode of his New Heights podcast. Speaking with Jimmy Fallon, he joked: “That one’s going to be easy, I’ve just got to figure out how to win a football game first. The wedding’s going to be easy compared to trying to catch a football.” He added that the couple prefer live music for their celebration.
Despite their high-profile careers, Swift and Kelce are said to be keeping plans intimate and “down-to-earth.”
Alongside wedding preparations, Swift is preparing for the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, arriving on October 3.
