Bride dies due to in-laws' violence

A three-month-old newlywed bride died due to the violence inflicted by her in-laws in the Babulal Hussain Road area of Ratta Amral police station.

The newlywed woman had been subjected to violence for a month. Her husband Yasir was a drunkard, demanding money from her and harassing her.

On the request of the victim's father Nadeem Sardar, son of Muhammad Sardar, resident of Mohalla Dhok Ratta Milad Nagar, a case has been registered against her husband. Raids have been launched to arrest the absconding accused husband.

The medical test also revealed that the woman was poisoned. The victim's father also accused his daughter's in-laws of poisoning and violence.

He said, while registering the case, that his daughter, Mismaa Maham, was married three months ago and had been subjected to violence for a month. Her husband was a drunkard and would demand money from her.

Maham's condition worsened after she was further tormented on Saturday morning. When she was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, her husband fled after seeing her condition.

When her parents reached the hospital and saw the situation, they informed the police. The police station at Ratta also reached the hospital and took possession of the body. After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the parents.
