Former Try Guys co-founder Ned Fulmer, who left the popular YouTube group in 2022 following revelations of an affair with a producer, has returned to the spotlight with a new podcast titled Rock Bottom. The debut episode, released this week, features his estranged wife Ariel Fulmer, who openly reflected on the impact of the scandal.

According to Thought Catalog, the couple addressed the fallout from Fulmer’s widely publicized infidelity, which ended their marriage and prompted his departure from the group. Ned began the episode with a direct acknowledgment: “I broke your trust. I betrayed my spouse, coworkers, friends, family…and I betrayed you.” He also confirmed that he and Ariel have not been together as a couple for the past three years, describing their current relationship as a “platonic friendship.”

Ariel recounted learning of the affair through fans who sent her images online, initially mistaking the woman in the photo for Ned’s sister. She recalled confronting him upon realizing the truth, saying she immediately saw the guilt in his expression. She also revealed how paparazzi followed them to therapy sessions, noting that public images of them smiling were misleading.

Speaking on forgiveness, Ariel stated, “The answer is no, absolutely not. How can you forgive someone for lying to you? Cheating on you? No, absolutely not.” She added that some days she still feels anger toward him, while on other days she tolerates his company.

Ned explained his actions by admitting he chose “self-destructive” ways to cope with feelings about his life unraveling, while Ariel emphasized that she bore the weight of his guilt and shame. She credited building authentic friendships with helping her move forward.

The episode also touched on their living arrangements—Ariel confirmed they live separately—and her decision not to return to her former podcast You Can Sit With Us.
