D4vd draws suspicion over rumoured ‘Hello Kitty Shirt’ track linked to Celeste Rivas
Singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is at the centre of growing speculation after the discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas’ body in a Tesla registered to him. Although police have confirmed he is cooperating with their investigation, he has not been named a suspect.
Rivas disappeared from Lake Elsinore, Riverside County, in April 2024. Her remains were located on September 8, this year inside a vehicle at a Los Angeles tow yard, after staff reported a strong odour. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed her identity but said the cause of death is still pending and no crime classification has yet been made.
Online, the case has fuelled rumours about a song called "Hello Kitty Shirt". According to unverified claims on X and SoundCloud, the track was supposedly linked to Rivas and included lyrics about a young woman. The conspiracy suggests D4vd created a persona around the Hello Kitty motif because of her accessories when they allegedly first met.
Lyrics circulating online include, “All of my diamonds they gorgeous / I saw my shawty she gorgeous / I love my shawty with long hair / I love my shawty with dark skin.” No evidence confirms the song was ever officially released.
The "Romantic Homicide" singer has cancelled his current tour dates, citing the ongoing investigation.
For now, the authorities maintain that the investigation is open and ongoing, and the speculation surrounding the supposed song remains unverified.
