Taylor Swift has praised Raye’s artistry in British Vogue’s October 2025 issue, describing the London-born singer-songwriter as an artist with rare emotional range.
Speaking about why she has long been drawn to Raye’s music, Swift said, “As a fan, I gravitate toward artists who can be funny and heartbroken at the same time, witty and then extremely sincere, tough and exposed. It’s her ability to dance between juxtaposed feelings that really thrills me to listen to. I love that she takes big swings.”
The comments highlight the admiration Swift has shown since Raye was invited to open for the final night of the Eras Tour at Wembley in 2024.
At the time, Swift wrote a handwritten note calling herself a “massive fan” and thanking Raye for agreeing to join her on such an important evening.
The full message read, 'Raye, I am such a massive fan of yours and have been for years. I can't believe my luck, that you said 'yes' and are joining us for such an important night on The Eras Tour, our last night (in) Wembley! Thank you (from the) bottom of my heart.'
Raye responded with gratitude, telling fans she was “so grateful” for the opportunity and later sharing a hug with Swift backstage. The support marked a milestone in a year where Raye cemented her status as one of Britain’s most celebrated breakthrough artists.
