Cardi B says dropping her sophomore album Am I The Drama? feels like “pushing another baby.”
The Grammy-winning rapper revealed her emotions during a preview of her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, admitting that the release has her feeling both excited and nervous.
“I am so overwhelmed, like I’m excited and I’m very nervous, but it’s so many different feelings,” Cardi B said. “It’s like I’m pushing another baby or something.”
The Bronx rapper’s debut Invasion of Privacy dropped in 2018, making this follow-up one of the most anticipated hip hop albums of 2025. Cardi B recorded over 60 songs during the process, narrowing it down to tracks she deeply connected with. The final tracklist includes collaborations such as “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” which samples JAY-Z’s “Imaginary Players.” One of the standout features comes from Selena Gomez, who appears on the album set to release this Friday.
When asked why the project is arriving now, Cardi B gave a straightforward answer: “It was completed. I feel like I touched on everything that I wanted to touch. I can’t possibly fit no more.”
To celebrate the album’s release, Cardi B will launch a meet-and-greet tour followed by a North American concert run spanning more than 30 cities. She is already preparing with workouts and dance rehearsals, with the U.S. leg of the tour scheduled to wrap in April 2026.
With Am I The Drama?, Cardi B says she’s ready to showcase her artistic growth since her debut—while giving fans a major surprise with a Selena Gomez collaboration.
