FaZe Clan is facing one of its most turbulent controversies after former member FaZe Rain (Nordan Shat) alleged that a longtime associate within the organization engaged in sexual misconduct with minors. Rain made the claims during a livestream, saying his decision to leave FaZe stemmed from betrayal and his inability to remain silent about the issue any longer. “I wasn’t even pushed out. I left. There’s a f***ing pedophile involved too, bro. That was the final straw,” Rain stated, as reported by Dexerto and social media coverage of his stream.
Rain initially did not name the individual, prompting speculation involving FaZe Banks (Richard Bengtson) and FaZe Temperrr (Thomas Oliveira). Banks released a video distancing himself from the accusations, saying, “I’m not a pedophile. Rain is not talking about me.” He acknowledged Rain’s frustrations with FaZe and emphasized his long-standing support of fellow members, both personally and financially.
Rain later confirmed he was referring to Temperrr, recounting that Temperrr once admitted to him that he had a sexual encounter with two 16-year-olds. Rain said he shared the information privately with other FaZe leaders but did not go public at the time out of fear of damaging careers and friendships.
Temperrr has denied all allegations, calling them “sick, twisted, and insane.” In a statement shared online, he said, “Anybody that knows me knows I’m not that type of person… I will never be that person.” He added that the claims had hurt his wife and child and accused Rain of weaponizing personal grievances.
