Recent weeks have been turbulent for Atlanta rapper Young Thug, following the leak of several recorded jail phone calls. The leaked audio, which surfaced online, reportedly features the rapper making disparaging remarks about peers, admitting to infidelity, and creating tension within his fan base and the hip-hop community.

In response to the backlash, Young Thug addressed the controversy with a seven-minute track titled “Man I Miss My Dogs.” In the song, he expresses gratitude to close friends and collaborators, including Lil Baby and 21 Savage, and thanks Drake for his support during his incarceration. The lyrics emphasize loyalty, with Thug clarifying his respect for Drake despite previously critical comments.

“Drizzy, you my brother… Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do,” he raps, countering the narrative created by the leaked calls.

While public opinion remains divided, two of Thug’s longtime associates have publicly stood by him. On Friday, YSL Woody shared an Instagram post featuring himself and fellow rapper Yak Gotti wearing matching shirts that read “I Love Young Thug.” Woody captioned the photo, “While everyone dissing bra we in the cut like 👺👹.”

The show of solidarity comes after Woody acknowledged his own struggles in a recent Instagram Story. He admitted the backlash has taken a toll, writing, “No I’m not okay after everything a n*** been through… I held my composure and carried it around like it was nothing. N***s hurt my family for me having yall back.”

Despite criticism sparked by the leaked calls, Woody and Yak Gotti’s public support highlights the loyalty Thug still commands within his circle, even as the wider hip-hop community debates the fallout.
