Man accuses mother-in-law of 'sabotaging' his marriage

A resident of Wahnai Sharif, Mushtaq Mallah, staged a protest against his mother-in-law, Najma Mallah, at the Badin Press Club.

Mushtaq claimed that Najma, allegedly influenced by retired police officer Ghani Mai, had been instigating his wife Shahila, and others, to stir conflict within their household. He alleged that he had given Najma Rs500,000 at the time of his marriage to purchase a plot. Later, he claimed, she blackmailed him for an additional Rs100,000-an act he says is backed by video evidence.

Mushtaq pleaded with authorities to help reunite him with his wife and their four-month-old daughter, and to hold Najma accountable for what he described as "relentless emotional and financial abuse."
