Drake appears to be extending an olive branch to Young Thug after the Atlanta rapper dropped an emotional new single, "Man I Miss My Dogs," on Thursday. The Toronto superstar showed support by liking Thug's Instagram post promoting the track — a subtle but telling gesture amid a backdrop of tension and public fallouts in the rap world.

The song serves as an open apology from Young Thug to several former friends and collaborators, including Drake himself, as well as Future, Metro Boomin, Gucci Mane, Mariah The Scientist, and others. In the track, Thug praises Drake’s loyalty, rapping: "Drizzy, you my brother / You know I ain't goin' against you... Never diss you, came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do."

Drake's public acknowledgment — though limited to a social media "like" — has caught the attention of fans, especially as rumors of strained relationships between him, Future, and Metro Boomin continue to swirl. Thug touches on those tensions in the song, pleading for reconciliation: "Tryna get you, Metro, and Pluto on the same page... Real n**s do and I learned that from you."

The track also arrives with controversy. In recent months, Young Thug has faced backlash after leaked jail phone calls revealed him criticizing fellow artists and admitting to cheating on his then-girlfriend, singer Mariah The Scientist. These revelations damaged some of his relationships, making the apologetic tone of “Man I Miss My Dogs” feel both timely and necessary.

The music video for the single concludes with the announcement of his new album, UY Scuti, dropping September 19 — his first studio release since his legal troubles in the YSL RICO case.

While it’s unclear if Drake and others will fully accept the apology, the track — and Drake’s quiet acknowledgment — suggests the door for reconciliation may be open.
