Safety measures: SHC beefs up security as lawyers receive threats

A number of new security measures were added at the Sindh High Court gates on Monday after new threats to lawyers surfaced.
A notice was displayed at the main entry and exit points, informing advocates that they will only be allowed in with proper identification.
The federal interior ministry sent the SHC bar association a letter about possible threats.
The members were advised to carry bar association membership cards and other identification.
Mechanically operated barriers were installed to stop vehicles from rushing in as well.
Security officials, including the Pakistan Rangers, however, have not changed their security measures.
