Ahead of the grand opening of 1587 Prime, the Kansas City steakhouse co-founded by NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, a preview of its menu has revealed a personal tribute from Kelce to his fiancée, Taylor Swift. According to reporting by the Daily Mail, the restaurant, which opens next week in downtown Kansas City, features a “Players” cocktail section honoring both athletes and their partners. The four specialty drinks include nods to Mahomes, Kelce, Brittany Mahomes, and Swift.
Kelce’s tribute to Swift is a cocktail called “The Alchemy,” which shares its name with a track on her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department. The drink blends clarified citrus vodka, dry curacao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime, and oolong tea. Its presentation includes a dramatic flourish, with a blow torch used to light a base beneath the glass, creating a smoky aroma. Observers noted the fiery effect may also subtly reference Swift’s 2010 single Sparks Fly. It remains unclear whether Swift helped design the recipe, but the connection highlights Kelce’s attention to his partner.
The other cocktails in the section are “Showtime,” named for Mahomes, “Big Yeti,” referencing Kelce’s nickname, and “Queen B,” honoring Brittany Mahomes. Together, the drinks reflect the personalities of the couples behind the steakhouse. Kelce and Swift, who began dating publicly in 2023, announced their engagement in August 2025.
Beyond cocktails, 1587 Prime will offer high-end steakhouse fare such as Japanese A5 Wagyu strip, a boneless ribeye, and a 40-ounce Wagyu tomahawk. One standout option, the “Mahomes Ketchup Flight,” nods to the quarterback’s well-known love of ketchup and features three house-made varieties, Daily Mail reported.
