Netflix’s People We Meet on Vacation unveils official poster and release date

Netflix has released the official poster for its upcoming romantic comedy, People We Meet on Vacation, based on Emily Henry’s bestselling novel.

The film stars Emily Bader as Poppy Wright and Tom Blyth as Alex Nilsen, best friends who reunite for a final vacation after years of estrangement. Directed by Brett Haley, the adaptation is set to premiere on January 9, 2026.

The newly unveiled poster mirrors the book's iconic cover, featuring Poppy and Alex lounging together in a sunlit, poolside setting.

This visual choice underscores the film's themes of rekindled friendship and the exploration of deeper emotions.

The adaptation marks the first of Henry’s novels to be brought to the screen, with other works like Beach Read and Book Lovers also in development. 

The film's supporting cast includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon, and Alan Ruck.

The screenplay was adapted by Yulin Kuang, with production by Temple Hill Entertainment and 3000 Pictures under a Netflix-Sony partnership.

Fans of the novel and romantic comedies alike can look forward to People We Meet on Vacation as a heartfelt addition to Netflix's 2026 lineup.
