Selena Gomez had a surprising on-air moment during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week.

The singer and actress, who joined her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short to promote Season 5 of the hit Hulu series, was visibly caught off guard when Short accidentally confused her fiancé, Benny Blanco, with Latin superstar Bad Bunny.

The exchange happened during a lighthearted segment on the late-night show. While chatting with Fallon and Gomez, Short referred to Blanco as “Bad Bunny,” a name that immediately drew laughter from the audience but left Gomez momentarily frozen in shock.

Reports note that Gomez quickly corrected him, firmly stating “Benny Blanco!” while still looking surprised at the slip.

Clips of her wide-eyed expression have since circulated online, sparking amused reactions from viewers.

Gomez’s Tonight Show visit wasn’t limited to the slip-up, however. She, Martin, and Short were there to discuss the success of Only Murders in the Building, which has become a critically acclaimed streaming favorite.

The mix-up between Blanco and Bad Bunny added an unscripted twist to the otherwise promotional appearance.
