AJK top judges review high court reforms

MUZAFFARABAD:

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chief Justice Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan, accompanied by Supreme Court judges Justice Khawaja Muhammad Naseem and Justice Raza Ali Khan, visited the AJK High Court on Wednesday.

Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly received by AJK High Court Chief Justice Sardar Liaqat Hussain, along with senior HC judges Justices Syed Shahid Bahar, Muhammad Ijaz Khan, and Chaudhry Khalid Rasheed.

During the visit, Chief Justice Hussain briefed the Supreme Court judges on recent judicial and administrative reforms implemented in the high court and subordinate judiciary.

The briefing highlighted improvements in judicial performance, key decisions, and ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the justice system.

Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram and the accompanying judges expressed appreciation for the reforms and commended the high court's performance, describing the efforts as "commendable".

The delegation also inspected the ongoing construction work at the high court complex and issued directives for its timely completion.

In addition, they visited the newly constructed mosque within the high court premises.
