Doja Cat is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated fifth studio album Vie, arriving September 26 via RCA Records.

As part of the rollout, the Grammy-winning artist leaned into 1980s nostalgia by channeling cult TV figure Max Headroom to announce that the deluxe edition of Vie is now available for pre-order.

The deluxe version promises fans exclusive content, special previews, and added material. This announcement comes just after Doja Cat unveiled Vie’s lead single, “Jealous Type,” which she performed live at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards alongside a surprise saxophone intro by Kenny G.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Doja Cat explained that themes of love bombing and emotional naivety will play a central role in the new album. “I had been in relationships that made me think about things differently,” she said, noting that the project explores the complexities of modern love. She described writing about behaviors like excessive compliments and gifts at the start of relationships, while also reflecting on acceptance when relationships shift.

The Vie rollout has been marked by high-profile performances and bold visuals. Beyond her VMA set, Doja Cat has been building anticipation with retro-inspired promotions that tie into the album’s broader themes. Fans who pre-order the deluxe edition will gain access to exclusive perks ahead of the album’s release.

With Vie dropping later this month, Doja Cat appears ready to deliver one of her most ambitious projects yet, blending personal reflection with her signature pop-rap flair.
