Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 10 receives mixed reactions as fans debate Belly’s Paris storyline
Episode 10 of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 has left viewers divided as the series inches closer to its finale. The Prime Video drama, based on Jenny Han’s novel and starring Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalengno, continued its focus on Belly’s complicated love life while introducing new elements to her journey in Paris.
Fans of the series expressed frustration online over the episode’s romantic developments. While some appreciated the progress of the central characters and the introduction of new faces like Fernando Cattori, Corinna Brown, and Isaline Prévost Radet, others were disappointed by the direction of Belly’s storyline. A number of viewers were particularly upset with the exploration of a relationship between Belly and Benito, fearing it overshadowed her long-standing connection with Conrad.

everything is so rushed and all the plots are happening so fast this is exactly why she could’ve got the plot moving last episode instead of doing an airtag ad but whatever #TheSummerITurnedPretty pic.twitter.com/1zofSdAHk9

I really just wanted the show to fill the void of what we didn’t get in the books of Bonrad together but they wasted basically two episodes of Jeremiah whining I’m so over it #TheSummerITurnedPretty pic.twitter.com/eMRic5bUGw
One user wrote that the new turn felt “sad” and argued that the narrative no longer did justice to the three-season-long buildup of Belly and Conrad’s romance. On the other hand, some fans welcomed the episode’s portrayal of growth, healing, and success for the characters, calling it a refreshing change.
Lead actress Lola Tung previously spoke with E! News about what viewers can expect from the season’s conclusion. She emphasized that heartbreak is an unavoidable theme in the series: “Everybody at some point throughout the show, throughout all three seasons, will be a little bit heartbroken. It’s just how it goes. And there is heartache that comes with love and with big love stories and with complicated love stories.”
Alongside Tung, the series features Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Rain Spencer, and Sean Kaufman in pivotal roles. With just one episode left, fans remain eager to see how Belly’s story — and the tangled love triangle at the show’s core — will conclude.
