Niall Horan has officially been dubbed the heartthrob of The Voice Season 28 — and the title came straight from Snoop Dogg himself.

In a Coaches’ roundtable released on September 8, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Horan reflected on their chemistry while filming the upcoming season. McEntire asked her fellow Coaches, “When did you know we were all going to be friends?”

Snoop replied, “From the first moment. I’m one of those people who needs an instant spiritual connection, and I felt that right away.” Horan agreed, saying he felt at ease with everyone almost immediately, adding that he was especially excited to meet Snoop.

Then came the ultimate compliment from the D-O-double-G. “When I said I was coming back to The Voice, my folks asked who was joining me. I said Reba and Mike, and they were excited. But when I said your name—instant heartthrob,” Snoop told Horan.

Snoop also shared a moment that sealed it for him. “We were walking the other day, and this little girl started crying when she saw Niall. He walked over and comforted her like a real superstar. I remembered having those moments back in 1990.”

Even Bublé got in on the fun, joking, “I was at the grocery store, and someone yelled my name—then asked if I could get Niall.”

With such strong camaraderie and playful banter among the Coaches, Season 28 of The Voice is already shaping up to be one to remember.
