Treyarch has confirmed that more fan-favorite Black Ops 2 maps are being remastered for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, joining the already announced Raid, Express, and Hijacked. While remaking classic maps has become a staple in recent CoD titles—like Modern Warfare 3 (2023), which launched exclusively with remastered Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps—the return of these iconic battlegrounds continues to excite longtime fans.

During a developer update on September 9, Treyarch’s Matt Scronce and Brittany Pirello teased the arrival of additional Black Ops 2 maps, confirming that more are planned for post-launch. Scronce hinted that community guesses about upcoming maps are “spot on” and revealed that one returning map hasn’t been seen since Black Ops 2, where it featured in competitive Search and Destroy play.

Pirello also confirmed that remastered maps will be part of the Call of Duty League map rotation, adding to the excitement for the competitive scene. She even referenced OpTic Gaming legend Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, hinting at the possible return of Yemen—a map tied to one of his most iconic moments.

While some maps like Raid and Express have seen remakes before, others like Hijacked—and possibly Yemen—haven’t returned in years, making their inclusion even more nostalgic for fans.

With Treyarch staying tight-lipped on specifics, fans can expect more surprises when Black Ops 7 launches, along with a strong mix of remastered classics fueling both casual and competitive play.
