PM condemns Israeli bombing in Doha as 'heinous, unlawful'

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned what he described as a ‘heinous and unlawful’ bombing carried out by Israeli forces in Doha terming it a grave provocation and a violation of Qatari sovereignty.
In a statement posted on X, the prime minister expressed deep outrage over the attack, which reportedly targeted a residential area and endangered the lives of civilians.
“On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, I strongly condemn the unlawful and heinous bombing in Doha by Israeli forces, targeting a residential area and endangering the lives of innocent civilians,” he said.

He extended Pakistan’s "deepest sympathies and solidarity" to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari Royal Family, and the people of Qatar during what he described as a difficult time.
Calling the strike "totally unjustified," the premier said it constituted "a brazen violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar" and warned that such actions posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
“Pakistan stands firmly with the State of Qatar, as well as with the people of Palestine, against Israel’s aggression,” PM Shehbaz added.

The statement comes as Israel's military said it conducted air strikes targeting senior Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital on Tuesday. The strikes were carried out jointly by the military and the Shin Bet security agency, the two bodies said in a statement.
A Hamas official told Qatar's Al Jazeera that its top negotiator's son was among several people killed in Israeli strikes on Doha on Tuesday but that senior leaders survived.
"The Hamas leadership survived the cowardly assassination attempt," Hamas political official Suhail al-Hindi told the broadcaster, adding that negotiator Khalil al-Hayya's son and aide were among the dead.
