Grand Theft Auto VI may feature new activities and apps, according to domain registrations believed to be tied to Rockstar Games.
The highly anticipated title is scheduled for release on May 26 2026. So far, Rockstar has kept details limited, releasing only trailers and screenshots.
Fans have long speculated about potential gameplay additions after studying the 2022 leaks, and now new information appears to provide further insight.
On September 8, insider Tez2 reported that Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, registered a set of domains on May 27 that appear to be linked to GTA 6.
Writing on GTA Forums, Tez2 explained: “These domains could be in-game sites that R* may redirect to VI’s page later on, like what we’ve seen with IV and V. Or some could be completely unrelated instead.”
Among the domains, ‘what-up.app’ resembles a parody of WhatsApp, while ‘rydeme.app’ suggests a ride-share service similar to Uber or Lyft. Ride-hailing could extend the series’ history of using taxis for fast travel.
Another domain, ‘buckme.app,’ may represent a payment or crowdfunding parody, though some users suggested it could be closer to a dating app. Sites such as ‘brianandbradley’ point to a luxury clothing brand, while ‘h**kers-galore’ continues a long-running series theme.
Two domains, ‘wipeoutcornskin’ and ‘myboyhasacreepycorndog,’ remain unclear but could connect to side quests or in-game humour, reflecting the franchise’s history of satirical content.
With less than a year until release, players are waiting for Rockstar to officially confirm how these features will appear in-game. Until then, speculation over the role of these domains will likely continue as anticipation builds for the return to Vice City.
