Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s family dynamic after divorce revealed

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez may have ended their marriage, but their children continue to maintain strong ties, according to sources close to the family.

Affleck, 53, shares three children, Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez, 56, is mother to 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom she shares with Marc Anthony.

Despite the couple finalizing their divorce earlier this year, insiders say their kids still see each other often.

“The kids are still really close,” one Affleck source told PEOPLE, adding that the families make an effort to ensure the children remain connected.

“They talk all the time and share the same circle of friends. For Ben and Jennifer, the priority has always been raising their kids in a supportive environment, and they plan to keep it that way.”

The former couple has also kept their own relationship amicable. Another source described things between them as “good,” noting that they remain on friendly terms even though their contact is now less frequent.

Lopez, who has spoken openly about navigating personal challenges while balancing motherhood and her career, has also been described as someone who showed Affleck’s kids the same care and attention as her own.

Affleck and Lopez first dated in the early 2000s before rekindling their romance years later and marrying in 2022.

Lopez filed for divorce in 2024, with the split finalized in January 2025.

Even with their separation, sources emphasize that both stars are committed to ensuring their blended family continues to feel supported and connected.
