K-pop group EXO have hinted at a long-awaited comeback this December after posting a cryptic teaser on Instagram.
The image showed two moons colliding with the words, "When we become true one, a new world awakens," fuelling speculation among fans about their return as a complete group.
The teaser also included an English translation of a line from their 2012 debut track "Mama", "The day the Red Force is purified and the legends reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up."
Alongside this message, the caption simply read, "December 2025," pointing towards a comeback date that has already sent excitement rippling through the K-pop community.
EXO, currently a nine-member group, last released new music as a unit in 2023 with "Cream Soda". Since then, members have focused on solo projects and concerts, including performances in Manila during 2024 and 2025, which allowed them to maintain close connections with their global fanbase.
The news of a possible full-group comeback is particularly significant for EXO-Ls, as the group has often promoted with fewer members in recent years due to individual schedules and mandatory military service.
Known for chart-topping hits such as "Growl", "Monster", and "Love Shot", EXO have consistently delivered powerful performances and concepts that defined the K-pop scene throughout the 2010s.
