Atlanta rapper Young Thug has fueled speculation about a split from singer Mariah The Scientist after a series of leaked jail calls revealed personal details about his relationships.
Recordings of Young Thug’s phone conversations from jail have circulated online in recent days. The calls included references to fellow artists such as Gunna, YSL, Future, Drake, and GloRilla, but the most controversial moments involved his private exchanges with women. In one call, he allegedly downplayed a photo of another woman in his condo, insisting it was old—though reports state the image was taken just before his May 9, 2022 arrest. In another conversation, he professed love to an unidentified woman and discussed future children.
Before speculation intensified, Young Thug issued a public apology to Mariah on social media. He acknowledged wrongdoing and asked supporters to refrain from targeting her online, writing: “You deserved better from me… Please give her peace.”
