Amy Lee Courtney LaPlante and Poppy release End Of You metal collaboration with dramatic music video
Evanescence’s Amy Lee, Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, and genre-bending artist Poppy have released their long-anticipated collaborative track End Of You, accompanied by a new music video. The single was officially unveiled on September 4 through Sumerian Records, the label also home to acts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Slaughter To Prevail, and Animals As Leaders.
The collaboration had been teased for over a week, creating significant buzz across the three artists’ fan communities. On August 26, Lee, LaPlante, and Poppy each posted a photo of themselves together, sparking speculation about a joint release. Two days later, on August 28, the trio shared separate clips from the End Of You music video on their social media accounts, each with the same caption. Sumerian Records confirmed its involvement by reposting the teasers.
Lee, LaPlante, and Poppy have intersected before. In September 2024, Poppy performed Soft Spine with Spiritbox during the band’s set at the Louder Than Life festival in the U.S. Earlier this year, LaPlante made headlines at the Grammy Awards when she was briefly mistaken for Poppy in a red carpet interview, a moment that circulated widely online due to her humorous response.
The release of End Of You also arrives during a busy stretch for the three musicians. Evanescence announced several North American headlining shows for September, including one supporting My Chemical Romance and another appearance at Louder Than Life, with Poppy set to join as support. Poppy’s most recent album, Negative Spaces, was released in 2024 via Sumerian Records. Spiritbox dropped their second album, Tsunami Sea, in March 2025 through Pale Chord/Rise Records. Evanescence, meanwhile, continue to work on a new studio album expected in 2026, following singles such as Afterlife and Fight Like A Girl.
It has not been confirmed whether End Of You will appear on Evanescence’s upcoming release.
