Fugitive held after 11 years

A fugitive who was wanted in a murder and robbery case registered 11 years ago was arrested by a CCD team in a raid at Islamabad airport and was transferred to Faisalabad.

According to police sources, In-charge CCD Headquarters Syed Aram Raza conducted a raid at the airport over an informant's tip and arrested the wanted accused, Shabbir alias Sona, who was involved in a robbery 11 years ago during which a woman was killed over resistance.

The arrested man was accused of shooting dead the woman during the robbery in 2014.
