Footage of Battlefield 6’s upcoming battle royale mode has surfaced online, offering fans their clearest look yet at the expansive map and gameplay elements expected in the mode.
Alongside traditional multiplayer maps and modes, Battlefield 6 is set to introduce a new battle royale experience, Firestorm. While it won’t launch with the base game on October 10, the mode is already generating buzz, with players hoping it can rival genre heavyweights like Warzone.
The leaked gameplay first appeared on Chinese video-sharing site Bilibili and has since circulated widely across social media. It shows a player parachuting into a massive, seemingly unfinished map that still gives a strong impression of the game’s setting and tone.
The environment appears sunny and coastal, complete with palm trees and clear blue water—adding weight to the rumored California setting. While there’s no combat shown, the footage highlights several notable points of interest (POIs), including a golf course, an airstrip with a hangar, and a small waterfront town.
As expected, destruction plays a major role—true to the Battlefield series' identity—and looks to be a critical gameplay element in Firestorm. While vehicles weren’t shown, they’re expected to be part of the mode, allowing for fast travel across the sprawling landscape. Still, the map appears to offer plenty of exploration opportunities on foot.
