A bystander was praised after rescuing a young boy who wandered onto the elevated Capital BlueCross Monorail track at Hersheypark, Pennsylvania.

The incident happened on Saturday when the child was reported missing around 5 pm after becoming separated from his parents.

According to Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, the Monorail ride was closed at the time, with its entrance secured by a chain and barricaded turnstile. Despite this, the boy accessed the track, which stands more than 20 feet above ground.

Footage posted online shows the child walking along the track while distressed onlookers tried to direct him. Some shouted “Keep walking!” while others urged him to stop when he looked disoriented.
