Fifth Harmony has reignited excitement among fans by posting on social media for the first time in seven years. On August 30, the group’s official X account broke its silence with a cryptic message: “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree.” The unexpected post instantly fueled speculation of a reunion and prompted the hashtag to trend globally.
The girl group, originally formed on The X Factor USA in 2012, had not posted since July 2018, when they wished Ally Brooke a happy birthday. Within minutes of the new post, fans flooded the comments, demanding answers about possible new music, tour dates, or official comeback plans. “Please come back,” one user wrote, while another said, “I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN YOU FIFTH HARMONY.”
This sudden activity comes amid recent speculation about a reunion. Earlier this year, multiple outlets reported that members Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui were in early talks to reunite in 2026 to mark the 10th anniversary of their hit 2016 album 7/27, which featured their global smash “Work From Home.” That track recently surpassed three billion views on YouTube. The rumored reunion plans reportedly include a documentary and anniversary tour, though Camila Cabello—who departed the group in 2016 to launch a solo career—is not expected to participate.
Hints of a possible reunion have been surfacing throughout 2025. Over the summer, Brooke, Jane, and Jauregui were spotted together at a Los Angeles Sparks WNBA game, later sharing photos and videos from the outing, which fueled fan theories about a comeback.
Fifth Harmony’s impact in the 2010s was defined by hits like “Worth It,” “BO$$,” and “That’s My Girl,” and their message of empowerment. Even during their hiatus since 2018, their fan base has remained vocal in hopes of a return—something now closer to reality than ever.
