Hayley Williams has made good on months of cryptic teasers by officially releasing her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. The 18-track collection arrived after a campaign that kept fans guessing, from secret codes to surprise uploads, and now it has finally landed in full.

The Paramore frontwoman first hinted at the project with a local Nashville radio debut of a single track before launching a scavenger hunt-style release. Sixteen additional songs appeared on a password-protected website, accessible with a code linked to purchases from her hair-dye brand, Good Dye Young. Once fans cracked the system and began sharing access online, Williams fuelled the frenzy by uploading tracks individually to streaming services, each paired with unique artwork. At the time, she was careful not to call it an album.

That changed this week when she premiered the single Parachute on BBC Radio 1, formally announcing the collection under the title Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. The name, taken from its tenth track, quickly trended online as fans celebrated the official confirmation.

Produced by Daniel James, the album features contributions from Joey Howard, Brian Robert Jones of Paramore’s touring band, and Jim-E Stack, a collaborator of Lorde and Bon Iver, who worked on the track True Believer. The mix of long-time partners and outside names suggests Williams was intent on pushing her sound into new territory while maintaining the emotional core that defined her earlier solo records.

The album arrives as speculation swirls about a potential solo tour. Williams previously suggested she hoped to stage long-delayed shows after her run on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, writing on social media that she wanted to play concerts postponed nearly five years ago. While no dates are confirmed, fans are already anticipating an announcement to accompany the release.

Williams has described her solo career as a way to explore themes beyond Paramore’s catalogue, with Petals for Armor (2020) and Flowers for Vases / Descansos (2021) cementing her reputation as a versatile artist unafraid of vulnerability. With Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, she leans into experimentation, weaving playful irony into an album that still resonates with the honesty that made her a generational voice.

The album is streaming worldwide now, leaving fans debating whether this is Williams’ most daring project to date.
