Polio campaign supervisor shot dead in Quetta

A polio campaign supervisor, Hafiz Qadir Jan, was shot dead in the Killi Thekedar area of the provincial capital while raising awareness among parents about the upcoming vaccination drive.

According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire on him, killing him on the spot before fleeing on a motorcycle. Soon after the attack, local residents and police reached the scene and shifted the body to Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Police also begin an investigation into the incident.

Hafiz Qadir Jan, who also served as a local leader of the JUI-F, was a well-known figure in the district.
