Woman injured, niece killed by speeding coaster

A teenage girl died while a woman was left injured after they were reportedly hit by a speeding coaster near Al-Asif Square on Super Highway.

SHO Sachal, Ameen Khosa, reported that the coaster driver fled the scene after the incident, leaving his vehicle behind.

Police promptly reached the scene and impounded the coaster.

The deceased girl's body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities, and she was identified as 13-year-old Raheema. Reportedly, the girl was the niece of the injured woman, Fauzia, who is currently receiving medical treatment.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
