Suspected harasser nabbed

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) carried out a major operation arresting an accused from F-10 Markaz, Islamabad, for blackmailing and harassing a woman.

The accused, Safiullah, had obtained objectionable photos and videos of the victim and used them to harass not only her but also her family.

Distressed by harassment and threats, the woman even attempted suicide. The accused was booked under Sections 20, 21 and 24 of the Cyber Crime Act 2016, along with Section 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The suspect's mobile phone, laptop, and other devices were seized.
