Girls outshine boys in FBISE exams

APS Rawalpindi student tops Pre-Medical with 1,071 marks

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Tuesday announced the results for Intermediate Part I and II, with an overall pass percentage of 83.19%.

In the Pre-Medical Group, Alina Tariq of APS Rawalpindi secured first position with 1,071 marks, followed closely by Warda Sarfraz of The Scholar Science College with 1,070 marks. Third position was shared by Arwa Malik and Manahil Murtaza of APS Gujranwala.

The results were formally declared by Minister of State for Federal Education, Wajeeha Qamar, while FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik briefed attendees on the structure and framework of the board examinations.

A total of 97,928 students appeared in the Class XI annual examinations, of whom 60,794 were declared successful. In Class XII, 96,521 candidates took the exams, with 79,881 passing.

The overall pass rate was 83.19%, with 75.85% of boys and 88.91% of girls passing. The Pre-Medical Group achieved a pass rate of 94.04%, while the Pre-Engineering Group recorded 88.89%.

In the Pre-Engineering Group, the first position was secured by Muzammil Sajid of The Scholar Science College with 1,063 marks, followed by Muhammad Sami of KIPS College with 1,059 marks, and Ayesha Naeem in third place with 1,054 marks.

During the ceremony, Minister Wajeeha Qamar, accompanied by Secretary of Education Nadeem Mehmood, presented certificates and awards to the top-performing students.

Addressing the audience, she said, "We must celebrate this achievement together. Our children continue to bring honour to the country and make remarkable progress.

They are our future, and I am proud of every one of them. Seeing these students fills us with pride. The future of this nation rests in capable hands. We must identify challenges, resolve them, and move forward with determination."
