Cracker Barrel issues statement after remodel and logo backlash

Cracker Barrel released a public statement addressing its recent updates

Cracker Barrel has responded to criticism following its recent store remodels and logo redesign.

In a public statement, the company acknowledged that it “could’ve done a better job” explaining the changes to customers and assured fans that its core traditions will remain intact.

The statement emphasized that while the updated look includes brighter interiors and a simplified logo, the values “this company was built on” will not change.

Cracker Barrel clarified that familiar features, such as rocking chairs, peg games, vintage décor, and the beloved character “Uncle Herschel”, will continue to be part of the restaurant experience, even if not central to the refreshed branding.

The company positioned the redesign as part of a broader effort to modernize while preserving its heritage.

Cracker Barrel added that the updates are aimed at ensuring the brand remains relevant to both longtime guests and future generations.

The reassurance comes after mixed reactions on social media, where some longtime customers expressed concern that the changes signaled a shift away from the restaurant chain’s Southern charm.

Cracker Barrel reiterated in its statement that although the logo and interiors are being refreshed, its mission of offering comfort, tradition, and hospitality “will never change.”
