The Pakistan Army led relief operations are underway in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan to assist communities affected by floods, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
In K-P's Shangla district, the army launched prompt operations in the remote village of Rajsham to evacuate flood-affected residents.
In collaboration with the Ayesha Foundation, flood relief and medical camps were established to provide immediate assistance to displaced families.
Relief packages including rations were distributed, while army doctors conducted medical examinations and provided treatment to those in need.
In addition, the army assessed damaged bridges and roads, and carried out aid activities at the affected school in Bagh Nasimabad.
Meanwhile, following special instructions from the army chief, the Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA) immediately initiated relief operations in G-B's Ghizer district, where a lake was formed by the recent glacial outburst.
Medical camps were set up in Thali Das and Roshan Nama villages, where over 600 patients have received treatment so far. Tents and ration packs were also distributed among affected families.
