Man arrested for murder

Police on Sunday arrested a man accused of murder during a heated altercation in Liaquatabad.

According to officials, the suspect, identified as Nafees, went to the victim's residence where an argument broke out between the two men.

In a fit of rage, Nafees allegedly attacked 40-year-old Arshad with a pair of scissors, leaving him critically injured. The victim was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. SHO Liaquatabad Mohsin Shehzad conducted a raid arrested the suspect. Police said the murder weapon was also recovered.

A case has been registered, and the suspect has been handed over to the investigation wing for further proceedings.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth was injured after a quarrel with a neighbour turned violent in the Kahna area on Sunday.

According to police, the victim, identified as Asad Ali, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg after his neighbour allegedly opened fire.
