YouTube star Markiplier shares hospital post with cryptic message, sparking fan concern

Popular YouTuber Markiplier has shared a new update from hospital, sparking concern among his followers.

The 35-year-old, whose real name is Mark Fischbach, posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed but did not explain the reason for his admission. Instead, he left fans with a short message: “chew your food.”

Support quickly poured in across social media, with fans expressing both worry and humour. 

Markiplier has previously spoken about his health struggles, particularly related to bowel obstructions. These complications are linked to scar tissue from past abdominal surgeries.

His first obstruction occurred before his YouTube career began, while another episode in late 2020 required him to stay overnight in hospital.

In November 2020, Markiplier revealed he had suffered “intense abdominal pain” and underwent X-rays and scans to rule out serious complications. At the time, he reassured his community that the issue was not life-threatening.

With more than 36 million subscribers, Markiplier is one of YouTube’s most recognisable creators. His mix of gaming content, comedy, and charity work has built a loyal audience who remain invested in his personal life and wellbeing.

Markiplier is yet to confirm whether this hospital stay is related to his past health issues, but fans continue to await further updates.
